Infant Jesus of Prague

Pražské Jezulátko

A small wax-coated statue of the Infant Jesus, brought from Spain and given to the Carmelites in 1628, draws pilgrims from all over the world to the Church of Our Lady Victorious in Malá Strana. Its robes are changed through the church year from a wardrobe of more than a hundred.

Good to know

A living place of pilgrimage: the grounds are usually open every day, but the church may close to sightseers during services. Dress modestly, keep your voice down, and expect crowds on the big feast days.

A rough guide to seasons and booking, not live opening hours – those are on the map listings above.
